Anticorruption

About the program

Corruption is one of the biggest risks associated with economic development and European integration of the countries of Western Balkan. Therefore CRPM works on corruption since its establishment. The organization is a member of the Anticorruption Platform – “Platform of civic organization for fight against corruption”.

As a part of the coalition of CSOs that fights against corruption CRPM contributes with research, analysis and advocacy in the three specific areas of its expertise: hidden economy as a form of corruption; gender and corruption; and corruption and environment. Most elaborated work of CRPM in this area has been the initiative for Open Government Partnership which enabled inclusion of civil society in the making of 2014 and 2016 OGP National Action Plans.

About the projects:

CRPM’s work on hidden economy spans from strengthening capacity of the civil society and the public institutions in developing and promoting public economic policies in the area of hidden economy and corruption; to producing Hidden Economy Index aimed at upholding democracy, economic rights and rule of law and at reducing ethnic, religious and class divisions, poverty and inequality.

The project developed commitments for governments to make under the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Initiative. It fostered civil society participation in the co-creation process for open government national action plans. In parallel it prepared ground for completion of chapters in line with the Acquis Communautaire for EU accession.
