The analysis of problems related to the environment through the prism of corruption and corrupt practices is a trend that has only recently gained increasing importance. Namely, although citizens and eco-activists have always expressed the suspicion of the existence of corrupt links in this area, probably due to the complexity and need for a multi-sector approach when researching the connection between these two topics, there is a lack of research and findings that would contribute to the policy creation to reduce the risk of corruption in this area.
