Open Government Partnership (OGP) was initiated in September 2011 by eight founding countries.  In a period of five years, the number of participating governments that commit to promote transparency, accountability, citizen empowerment through OGP has grown to 70. The Macedonian Government joined the OGP in 2011 and since then prepared three National Action Plans for Open Government.  The Center for Research and Policy Making closely facilitates the consultation process for the creation of the OGP action plans since 2014. In 2016 the process of defining the national measures for achieving the SDGs synched with the process of co-creation of OGP Action Plan (AP) 2016-2018. In the period 2012-2016 within the Advocacy for Open Government Program CRPM has provided: CSO agenda setting of the OGP process; monitoring of OGP implementation by CSOs; and policy analysis for OGP relevant evidence based policy making.
