Today, in the Municipality of Probishtip, we convened a meeting alongside Council members and the coordinator for equal opportunities in the municipality to conduct a thorough review of budget initiatives and expenditures. The impetus for this review stemmed from the monitoring report and financial analysis carried out as part of the “Through Gender Lenses” project, supported by our local partners, the Organization of Women of the Municipality of Sveti Nikole.
During the meeting, all participants unanimously agreed on the need for the municipality to intensify its efforts in promoting opportunities and resources for the inclusion of women and girls in the processes of shaping public policies. Simultaneously, there was a shared commitment to increasing awareness among women and girls regarding their active involvement in local community initiatives.
A pivotal component in achieving these objectives is the education of KEM members, municipal administration staff, and Council members within this municipality. Such education is essential to empower them with the skills necessary for effective utilization of gender-responsive budgeting tools.
The “Through Gender Lenses” project is financed by the European Union and is being implemented by the Center for Research and Policy Making in cooperation with the Rural Coalition, Roma Women and Youth Association “LULUDI”, Journalists for Human Rights, and Educational Humanitarian Organization – Echo.

Денес во Општина Пробиштип, заедно со членовите на Советот и координаторката за еднакви можности во општината, ги разгледувавме буџетските иницијативи и трошоци кои што произлегоа од мониторинг извештајот и финансиската анализа која што беше изработена во рамките на проектот “Низ Женски Леќи” а со поддршка на нашите локални партнери Организација на жените на општина Свети Николе.
На средбата, присутните се согласија дека во општината е потребна поголема промоција на можностите и алатките за вклучување на жените и девојките во процесите на креирање на јавни политики, но во исто време и за јакнење на свеста кај жените и девојките за нивно активно вклучување во работата на месните заедници.
Едукацијата на членовите на КЕМ како и едукацијата на општинската администрација, како и на членовите на Советот и во оваа општина се клучни за унапредено користење на алатките за родово-одговорно буџетирање.
Проектот “Низ женски леќи” е финансиран од Европската унија, а го спроведуваат Центарот за истражување и креирање политики во соработка со Рурална Коалиција, РАЖМ Лулуди, Новинари за човекови права и Едукативно хуманитарна организација – Ехо.
