Center for Research and Policy Making, is seeking two Policy Analysts in the areas of anti-corruption and the “hidden economy”
1. POLICY ANALYST – FOCUS AREA ANTICORRUPTION
Under direct supervision of the Chief Analyst, the Analyst will be responsible for a research, policy analysis and monitoring anticorruption practices and methodological approaches for assessment of good governance at local level.
Specific tasks:
Act as co-principle investigator in the design, organization and execution of the Local Transparency and Accountability Study LOTOS
Collect, select, interpret and analyze research data and write policy papers
Coordinate overall project implementation including administrative and financial issues of project management
Provide communication and coordination of activities in 26 municipalities with partner organizations from Bitola, Struga, Kumanovo, Shtip, Veles and Strumica
Act as local coordinator of activities under the RECOM initiative
Duration of contract: 18 months starting from 12 January
Job requirements:
A relevant university degree (Master’s in public policy, political science, development studies, economics, international relations)
Proficiency in use of computer, MSOffice and Internet (knowledge of use of statistical software such as STATA, or SPSS will be considered as an asset)
Well-developed inter-personal and team working skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
5-10 years of experience in project and management and at least 3 years’ experience in the policy area of anticorruption/governance issues

2. POLICY ANALYST – FOCUS AREA HIDDEN ECONOMY
Under direct supervision of the Chief Analyst, the Analyst will be responsible for a research and policy analysis of hidden economy and corruption in Macedonia.
Specific tasks:
Act as co-principle investigator in the design, development of methodology for the assessment of hidden economy, development of research tools such as questionnaires for surveys and interviews with companies
Collect, select, interpret and analyze research data from 70 companies and a representative survey of the population
Contribute to the production of 6 policy papers
Coordinate overall project implementation including administrative and financial issues of project management
Provide communication and coordination of activities on the territory of Macedonia and act as main liaison with the EU partners on the project
Act as researcher in studies related to labour participation
Duration of contract: 12 months starting from 12 January 2014
Job requirements:

Proficiency in use of computer, MSOffice and Internet (knowledge of use of statistical software such as STATA, or SPSS will be considered as an asset)
Well-developed inter-personal and team working skills
