May 13-th 2013, Zagreb – The Center for Research and Policy Making attended the conference Energy. Development. Democracy that was held in Zagreb on 13 May 2013 at Westin hotel.
The vent was part of the regional initiative “Pubic Dialogue on the Sustainable Use of Energy in South-East Europe”. This is the second conference, following the conference held in Belgrade, Serbia in 2012.
The aim of this regional conference was to bring together representatives from the region for exchange of knowledge and experience in sustainable energy action planning and implementation.
The main topics covered throughout the conference were the following:
– Role of the parliament and local government in promoting sustainable energy
– How can civil society contribute to sustainability
– National and local success stories.
The Macedonian delegation was presented by representatives from Municipality of Cashka, Prilep, Kicevo and Karposh, representative from the Parliament, the media and representatives from the business and civil sector.
