Third weekend session for the students of the School for Public Policy “Mother Theresa”
From December 23-25 this year, the third weekend session in the framework of the SPP “Mother Teresa” was held. Thematic unit of this session was multiculturalism and policy analysis, whereas the participants had the opportunity to improve their knowledge in four sub-themes such as:
– βMulticulturalism in Macedonia today, with analysis on the social movements, politics and electionsβ
– “Multiculturalism as a concept and public policy”
– “Multiculturalism and migration – economic aspects”
– “Multiculturalism in the media: hate speech and examples”
Additionally, the participants were involved in two discussion panels when they were encouraged to give their opinions and views, and actively participate by providing solutions to overcome existing challenges in Macedonia. The first discussion was titled “Election marketing, multiculturalism, bilingualism, canonization and federalization: reality or manipulation?”, while the second was about how to improve the process of policy making in our country.
The weekend session included a social component; the participants competed in a general knowledge. As moderators and presenters of this session were engaged alumni of the SPP, as well as the director of the School, prof. PhD Zhidas Daskalovski.
