CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Financial Academy for Civil Society Organizations

The Centre for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) announces a Call for Applications for participation in the Financial Academy for Civil Society Organizations, that can contribute to the just transition process. The call is published within the framework of the Women-Led Coal Transitions (WOLCOT) project, supported by the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) and implemented by CRPM Consulting in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The Financial Academy is an accredited capacity-building programme designed to strengthen the administrative, financial and project management capacities of civil society organizations. Within the WOLCOT project, the programme has been adapted to address the needs of organizations working on issues related to just energy transition, climate change, local development, gender equality and support for vulnerable groups. One cycle of the academy is 4 months, thus availability is needed for the period September – December, 2026.


The call is open to registered civil society organizations that are active and/or operate in the country are either led by a woman, have majority women in their executive/management board; have majority women within their employees. 

Priority will be given to organizations working in one or more of the following areas:

  • Gender equality and women’s economic empowerment;
  • Youth development;
  • Social inclusion and support for vulnerable groups;
  • Environment protection and climate change;
  • Just energy transition;
  • Local and rural development;
  • Agriculture;
  • Social entrepreneurship;
  • Local economic development;
  • Health and social protection.

The Financial Academy will be delivered through a blended learning approach, combining online and in-person sessions.

The programme comprises a total of 120 hours of theoretical and practical instruction, including lectures, practical exercises, tests, discussions, quizzes, and case studies.

The Academy is structured around three modules:

  • Administrative Management in Civil Society Organizations
  • Financial Management in Civil Society Organizations
  • Project Management

Each module consists of 8 sessions, for a total of 24 sessions. Each session has a duration of 5 hours.

For each module, the first and the final session will be organized in person in Skopje, while the remaining sessions will be conducted online via Zoom.

Travel costs related to participation in the in-person sessions in Skopje will be covered by the organizer only for participants from the municipalities of Bitola, Novaci, Mogila, and Kichevo who receive EBRD scholarships.


Participants will receive:

  • Participation in an accredited programme on financial and project management;
  • Practical knowledge and tools for improving organizational performance;
  • Enhanced skills in project development and project management;
  • Opportunities for networking with other civil society organizations;
  • Support for developing project ideas related to just transition;
  • A certificate upon successful completion of the programme.

Interested organizations should submit:

  • A brief organizational profile;
  • A short CV of the nominated participant and confirmation of availability and commitment to participate in the program;
  • A motivation letter.

The costs of participation are 48.000MKD, participants from following municipalities: Bitola, Novaci, Mogila, Kichevo will receive scholarships from EBRD.

The costs for organizing the trainings, working materials, and refreshments are covered by the organizer.
