
Irena S. Hristov is a Communications and Outreach Specialist with extensive experience supporting international development programs across the Western Balkans. She brings deep expertise in strategic communications, knowledge management, event facilitation, and digital outreach, with a strong focus on advancing democratic governance, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
With nearly two decades of experience in the field, Irena has led the design and implementation of communication strategies, visibility campaigns, and high-level advocacy materials for a wide range of international donors and institutions, including USAID, UN agencies, and the EU. Her work has also contributed to regional knowledge-sharing initiatives, policy dialogue facilitation, and public sector reform processes.
Irena is passionate about clear and impactful storytelling, collaborative partnerships, and amplifying civil society voices. She is currently engaged with the Centre for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), where she supports communications and visibility across programs, including the Gender Budget Watchdog Network.
She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Science from the Institute of Sociological, Political and Juridical Research at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
